Srinagar, October 10: Taking note of several reports appearing in the Press regarding the prevalence of Dengue in Jammu, Governor Satya Pal Malik reviewed the situation with Atal Dulloo, Principal Secretary, Health and Medical Education.
Governor was briefed by Dulloo about the arrangements in place for treating the patients.
Governor directed Dulloo to continuously monitor the situation and spare no efforts to keep a check on the infection. He instructed Dulloo to depute his officers to Jammu to properly assess the scenario and ensure that all the hospitals are adequately equipped to treat patients and there is no dearth of beds for patients in the hospitals.
Governor stressed that preventive measures should be taken immediately and best efforts should be made to provide quality treatment to the patients.
