WhatsApp's latest feature blocks users from taking chat screenshots
Whatsapp is reported to have rolled out a new beta version that blocks users from taking a screenshot of conversations.
WhatsApp beta update on Google Play Store shows a new development for biometric authentication. On Android phones, users will find biometric authentication from Settings > Account > Privacy.
If WhatsApp doesn’t recognise the fingerprint and there are too many failed attempts, WhatsApp will be locked for a few minutes.
The good news is that even if users have enabled the authentication feature on their smartphones, they would be able to respond to messages from the notifications and answer calls on WhatsApp when the app is locked.
Apart from this, WhatsApp has also added a search feature to its sticker and emoji search, that would essentially allow users to quickly search for the sticker or emoji that they were looking for without having to go through all the emojis all at once.
These features, however, are still under development and hence not available on WhatsApp's Beta app for Android.
