Jaish-e-Mohammed stated that it would avenge the killings of its jehadis
Chandigarh, April 19: Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed has allegedly threatened to blow up several railway stations across Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
In a letter addressed to Vivek Kumar, Divisional Rail Manager, Ferozepur Division, JEM stated that it would avenge the killings of its jehadis (militants) by exploding bombs at Firozpur, Jalandhar, Faridkot, Amritsar and Barnala railway stations on May 13.
Security has been beefed up across the three states following the threats. The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) are conducting joint operations at the targetted railway stations. Trains and passenger luggage are being thoroughly checked and scanned for explosives.
The sender of the letter has mentioned his address as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Mamsoor Ahmed, Area Commander, Jammu-Kashmir (Sindh), Pakistan
