Jammu: The record participation of voters in the ongoing elections of Lok Sabha in Jammu Kashmir has once again indicated that the people have well understood the value of their vote and that development and peace can only be achieved by contributing towards making the democracy to flourish.
Commented BJP National Vice President & Incharge J&K, Avinash Rai Khanna, while terming the massive turn out in the second phase in Udhampur and Srinagar Parliamentary Constituencies as a clear signal from the voters that they want to be part in the decision making institutions for making the country progress and bring peace in this border state.
Avinash Rai Khanna said that the record voting is a rebuff to such elements which have been working overnight to demoralize security forces, playing communal politics and making anti-national utterances with the sole motive of running their political establishments at the cost of development, peace and progress but the people are well aware of their nefarious designs and had made up minds to strengthen democracy as it is the only way to achieve what a common voter desires.
Khanna further said that in a democracy, each vote matters and the people decided not to remain away from polls but convert into reality their dream of good governance, development, peace and progress and hence each Constituency recorded massive voting.
Avinash Rai Khanna expressed gratitude to the voters for maximum voting and expressed hope that the trend will also be witnessed in remaining phases and the people get elected such candidates who are committed to accelerate development and work to bring complete peace in the state.
