Samba, August 14: Mount Litera Zee School, Tarore celebrated 73rd Independence Day in the school premises with full enthusiasm. Managing Director of the School Chairman P.B. Kapoor was the Chief Guest during the function. Rahul Kapoor Principal of the School welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries and he addressed during the ceremony that today we are celebrating 73rd Independence day to pay tribute and remember all the freedom fighters who had contributed a lot and fought for the independence of India and also we are celebrating festival of Raksha Bandhan and wished each and everyone happy Raksha Bandhan in advance. The Chief Guest hoisted the National Flag followed by National Anthem by the school choir group. Mount Litera band saluted the Tricolour followed by the student’s house wise in their uniform.
A Special assembly was also organised by the students under the able guidance of the House Head. Monika Dubey of Mahatma Gandhi House. Students presented various song and dance performances during the function related to Patriotism and brotherhood. Addressing the students on the occasion Managing Director Madam P.B. Kapoor motivated the students and said that discipline, punctuality and sincerity towards their work is the key to success.
He further added that in the age of advanced technology students need to prepare themselves as physically and mentally be competent at a global level. She paid her tribute to the people who laid their lives to get Independence and also focused on the relationship of brother and sister which is considered as the most sacred and lively bond in the universe. Coordinator of the school Gayika Kapoor presented Vote of thanks to the guests present, staff and students being together at this moment and wished that all students would love their country in future too.
