Teams of BJP organised hectic tours of Udhampur constituency
Jammu, April 16: The teams of BJP organised hectic tours of Udhampur constituency today. Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, BJP State Spokesperson on Kashmir Affairs along with his team toured Mansar, Ramkot, Mandli, Phinter, Mahanpur, Billawar and Balpur in the biggest constituency of the region. The team held a number of meetings at various places, met activists and important people thereat. The team comprised Bharat Bhushan Mahotra, BJP State Incharge-Library & Documentarian, S. P. Sharma, Vijay Gupta and Vikram Singh Langeh.
Ashok Kaul, General Secretary (Org) presided over the meetings of activists at Phinter and Mahanpur. He told the activists that there is a great support for the BJP candidate, Dr. Jitendra Singh and he has brought a sea change in the constituency over the last five years. The beautiful roads, electrification, widening of the highways, an institution of various development projects in the area, the establishment of Seva Kendras of central schemes, construction of bridges and tunnels, implementation of scholarship schemes for the needy students have benefitted the people which is a great strength of the party.
On the last but one day of campaigning for the Parliamentary elections to the Udhampur constituency today, the BJP leader while addressing big public gatherings gave a full presentation of the priorities for the constituency. He said that the Sankalp-Patra issued by the Party has opened new gates of hope for the people of Jammu and Kashmir who have already been benefitted by the Central government’s huge project investments in the state. The activists also raised the slogans like “Bharat Mata ki Jai” “Vande-Mataram” "Modi Phir Sey" and “JaiHind-JaiHind”.
Addressing gatherings at different places Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo said that the J&K State is an integral part of India and no power on earth can even think of making BJP compromise on it. Our predecessors and elders have sacrificed their whole life for the cause of Jammu and Kashmir and the situation that we see today in favour of nationalist cause in the state is due to their hard efforts, vision and labour. Anybody who is involved in any anti-national activity, sloganeering and campaign during or after the elections will have to be accountable before the law. The law will take its own course in this regard. The secessionist, extremist and terrorist activities will be dealt and finished from the soil of Jammu and Kashmir at all costs.
The BJP has during the last five years given ample proof of its commitment to the cause of “Vichardhara and Vikaas”. We, implemented schemes and projects like Soubhagya Yojana-Har Ghar Bijali, made Community halls, gave Ambulances, constructed water tanks and bathing ghats, raised Bhartiya Vidhya Mandir, Constructed tracks and Gym under MPLADS. Scooters and Scooties were distributed among the physically challenged persons in the constituency besides accommodating a large number of students in Kendriya Vidhyalays under MP’s quota. AIIMS, IIT, IIM, establishing medical colleges and opening new degree colleges in addition to the opening of Food Craft Institute are some of the historical steps that BJP has taken for the last five years.
We gave a truthful feeling to the voters of the mission of the Prime Minister ie. “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikaas”. He challenged the opposition parties to give their account of the development and national contribution which they implemented over the last sixty years of their rule in the state. Congress’s alliance with the PDP-NC is a major challenge to the nationalist forces in the state. The formation of Ganthbandhan by these parties has a remote possibility to make any dent in the politics of J&K. Our five-year rule has surpassed the records of the previous governments which created a sense of discrimination among the people of Jammu. BJP has remained committed to the cause of Jammu and we will remain committed to our resolve always as ever.
