Akhilesh Yadav defends Azam Khan over his alleged remark against Jaya Prada
Muradabad, April 15: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday attempted to defend Azam Khan over his alleged remark against Jaya Prada by putting the blame on media. The former Uttar Pradesh CM stated that Azam Khan's remark had been taken out of context.
Akhilesh at a rally he said, "The media has goofed up in this matter and is showing something else."
Khan, who is in the fray from Rampur on the SP ticket, made the obnoxious remark in the presence of former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and other senior party leaders, who were present on the dais.
Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered against the Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan while Jaya Prada, who is contesting from Rampur on a BJP ticket, has hit back fiercely - asking people to not vote for the SP candidate.
