Jammu: Command Hospital, Northern Command located at Udhampur celebrated its 74th raising day on 23 July 2022 which also marks the beginning of Diamond Jubilee Year of the hospital. On this occasion, a Milestone was unveiled followed by inauguration of a Heath camp for the families of the hospital staff. In addition, an educational programme for the paramedical staff also was conducted having a theme “Perspective of Paramedics in Patient Care” with an aim to strengthen their professional skills.
Speaking on the occasion, Major General D K Sreevastava, Commandant Command Hospital (Northern Command) said that the hospital is uniquely positioned to take special care of trauma victims and today once again, the hospital team rededicates itself to rendering comprehensive state of the art health care to troops and their entitled dependents of the Indian Armed Forces, paramilitary forces as well as to civilians as part of “Op Sadbhavna” spread over the entire Northern Command Zone.
The hospital was originally raised as 148 Indian General Hospital at Lucknow on 23 Jul 1948 and subsequently moved to Udhampur where it was re-named as Command Hospital, Northern Command on 12 Apr 1989. Since then, the hospital has grown leaps and bounds and bloomed into a centre of excellence with multiple super-specialty departments.
