Jammu: J&K BJP Mahila Morcha under the leadership of its President Sanjita Dogra took up a 40-day Yoga challenge along with all the Mahila Morcha teams across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Mahila Morcha National Executive Member Updesh Andota, Vice-Presidents Monika Khosla, Anita Gandotra, General Secretaries Neha Mahajan & Urvashi Gupta, Secretary Neeru Anand, Santosh Sharma, Usha Rajput, Poonam Gupta, Reema Padha, Indu Puri, Suman Raina, and others also accompanied the Morcha President on the occasion.
Sanjita Dogra while speaking on the occasion said that the practice will be performed in each district and Mandal to aware the women about the importance of yoga in today's stressful times.
Sanjita said that Yoga is one of India's most ancient practices that has gained love and popularity all around the world, for all the right reasons. People have used Yoga to get rid of, or prevent physical ailments, but also to train their minds, feel better, and reduce stress. Perhaps in the times of the COVID-19 pandemic, yoga has proven rather fruitful for people in helping them build immunity, and keep their mind at peace.
Sanjita added that Yoga celebrates the physical and spiritual prowess that yoga has brought to the world stage. While it is an important source of exercise and healthy activity millions join in and practice on a daily basis. For many, these routines are a way to connect the body, mind and soul in a way that has existed for centuries.
Further, she requested the women across Jammu & Kashmir to kindly participate in the yoga sessions started by Mahila Morcha to counteract the stresses of modern life by becoming more mindful and compassionate.
