Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested a notorious criminal for allegedly attacking on government servants in Reasi district of Jammu region.
Police said another accused in case FIR no 222 registered police stations Reasi registered during anti-enforcement is arrested for attack on the government servants at Kattal Reasi on Saturday.
11 accused persons were arrested by police station under relevant sections of law on Saturday when they created law and order problem, pelted stones injuring staff and damaging government property during an anti encroachment drive by J&K Housing Board. When Law and order was disturbed despite warnings, Police rounded up eleven persons while other accused persons fled away after commission of crime.
Bhawani Singh @Munna S/O Rattan Singh @Guddu R/O Gran Morh Reasi is also arrested by Reasi Police in the case. Bhawani Singh @Munna a notorious criminal of the area who was earlier involved in cases of attempt to murder, assault to deter public servent from discharge of duty. Case FIR No 08/2011 U/S 307, 341, 34 RPC, 4, 27 Indian Arms Act & FIR No 198/2017 U/S 353, 147 RPC were registered against the accused in Police Station Reasi and proved against him during investigations.
Family is facing more than eight criminal case FIRs including offenses of murder & Indian Arms act. It has been appreciated after multi crores value state owned land has been restored to the J&K Housing Board from notorious illegal encroachers.
Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi conveyed that every accused who is involved in violation of law shall be dealt with law & no one will be allowed to disturb peaceful environment of Reasi through violent means.
