A Medical Camp was organized by the Indian Army at Salotri in District Poonch (J&K). During the medical camp, genuine medical requirements of the local populace were addressed and free medical advice and medicines were provided to the attendees from remote villages. A team of doctors of the Army provided medical care, consultation, and counseling to the needy populace of the border area. Special medical issues of women and children were also addressed by Medical Army Team. The opportunity was also utilized by the doctors to educate the general public on COVID-19, prevention of communicable, skin, and various lifestyle diseases. Patients of all age groups including men, women, and children were checked for different ailments and diseases by the doctors.
The Villagers, Sarpanches, and Panches appreciated the efforts of the Army for their selfless effort and said that such events not only help in taking medical aid to their doorstep but also help in boosting the synergy between the Army and AWAAM towards the development of the region. Villagers from surrounding villages availed the benefit of free medical advice and medicine during the camp.
