Indian Army organizes Awareness lecture on 'Health and Sanitation'
Jammu, May 20: In an effort to promote awareness about 'Health and Sanitation' issues amongst the students residing in far-flung villages, a lecture was conducted by the Army at Government Primary School, Balakote in Poonch district.
The aim of the lecture was to educate students to accomplish the vision of a clean and serene India. Emphasis was laid on various aspects that are required to be addressed to have a clean surrounding including the use of toilets, proper garbage disposal, and waste management. The role of the civil administration, as well as that of each and every citizen, was emphasized upon.
The initiative was greatly appreciated by the locals and they expressed their gratitude for the knowledge imparted to them. Such events definitely have a lasting impact on the young population of remote and inaccessible areas that are devoid of basic facilities.
