Udhampur: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir SSRB teachers/masters association was held at Udhampur under the chairmanship of state president Rakesh Singh Chambial and attended by scores of teachers and masters from all zones of district Udhampur; Reasi to discuss the burning issues of teachers and masters.
Singh while expressing his views showed resentment over non releasing the final selection list of SSRB teachers by Director school education Jammu for their joining in the school but the same process was started by the Director school education Kashmir which showed the huge discrimination with the Jammu based candidates as they become junior from their counterparts due to late joining and also showed the lackasdical attitude of the concerned authorities towards the selected candidates due to which they are suffering and under mental trauma.
Singh appealed DSEJ to start the joining process of newly selected candidates within a week time so that these teachers have a sigh of relief and also to fulfil the deficiencies of teaching staff, particularly in rural and far-flung areas due to which government schools are adversely affected.
Singh while interacting with the media urged the governor to increase the medical allowance of govt employees to 2000 rs per month as the same has not increased from last so many years despite high inflation rate in medical expenses due to which there is great resentment among govt employees. "Education department has not released promotion list of master grades after 2014 due to which there is a stagnation of promotion which lowers the morale of teachers so DSEJ should release the same before October " Singh added.
