Jammu, May 18: BJP State President Ravinder Raina, chaired a meeting of all the senior party leaders who were assigned job for campaigning as well as coordination of affairs during the Lok Sabha elections in the states of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
Sitting MP as well as MP contestant from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, State Vice-President Pawan Khajuria, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi, and former Minister Sat Sharma also addressed the meeting.
It is worthwhile to notice that, on the instructions of the Central leadership of BJP, senior party leaders from J&K, were assigned the duty to campaign and assist in election affairs in the Chamba and Kangra areas of Himachal Pradesh and Gurdaspur seat of Punjab. Party President Ravinder Raina, Jugal Kishore Sharma was assigned the role as star campaigner while Ashok Kaul was assigned the duty to help and coordinate of organizational matters. In Himachal Pradesh, Pawan Khajuria was assigned the responsibility to coordinate the election campaign affairs whereas in Gurdaspur Shamsher Singh Manhas and Sat Sharma were assigned to coordinate the election campaign affairs.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, passionately thanked all the senior leaders from the J&K BJP for their exemplary work in the Himachal Pradesh and Punjab during the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. He said that it is a matter of great pride that after working with full force in the home state, our leaders also worked with never-ending enthusiasm in the other states as well and this speaks about their steadfastness on the principles of organization adored by everyone. He claimed that we will win with good margins in all the seats where our leaders have comprehensively worked to secure seats in favor of party candidates.
Ashok Kaul, in his address, prompted all the leaders to share their experiences during their working in the HP and Punjab. He said that all the leaders have worked day and night for the success of party candidates in both the states, which has been greatly appreciated by the local BJP units. He encouraged the party leaders to carry the same spirit and passion onwards, as there is no time for the true party worker to take rest.
