BJP State Spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan
Jammu, May 16: The nation is witnessing a different kind of politics being played by most of the opposition political parties, national as well as regional, which reflect the frustration among their leaders, who are fearing their defeat in the ensuing elections of Lok Sabha.
Expressing anguish and disappointment on the developments in the political arena of the country, BJP State Spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, said that the current elections are totally different from the past in many aspects, particularly mudslinging and character assassination of the democratic institutions. He said that since day one of the election campaigning, it has been seen that almost all opposition parties have no concern for development but only rubbish talk has become their policy.
Balbir said that development, welfare of people, nation’s pride, security of the life and property of the citizens etc. had been the main issues for political parties contesting any election but unfortunately except BJP, no other party has shown concern about these important subjects in current elections, which is clear from the way top leaders of some parties are behaving and making very degrading comments on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and even targeting Election Commission of India, judiciary etc.
How strange it is that the frustrated leaders are not even showing any respect for the chair of Prime Minister, raising fingers on the transparency of the autonomous institution like Election Commission and making accusations with no proof or authenticity. It is indeed dangerous for the flourishment of the democracy in India, Balbir said.
Burning example of slumping politics is that even after the accusations raised by the scion of Gandhi family stand dismissed by the Apex Court of the country, they still continue to lie in public. The level of politics has taken a deeper dip in West Bengal, where the recent violence in the state reflects the wave in favor of BJP which got the local top leader of regional party dwindling and nervous.
