Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, Prof.Bhim Singh
Jammu, May 11: The Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, Prof.Bhim Singh today dashed a letter to Shri Satya Paul Malik, Governor of J&K describing his remarks against Late Rajiv Gandhi vis-à-vis Bofors scandal as unfortunate and unacceptable. NPP Supremo made to Governor Shri Satya Paul Malik that the Governor of J&K at this situation has slipped away from his responsibility and cherished duty as a Governor of J&K by using a slang against Late Rajiv Gandhi vis-à-vis Bofors scandal.
NPP Supremo conveyed to the J&K Governor that by repeating the allegations/abuses that Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi had used against former Prime Minister, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi so-called Bofors scandal. The Governor has slipped away from his cherished duty, not to indulge in political affairs/allegations against political leadership, when performing the role of Governor of the State. Prof.Bhim Singh said that he had several differences with Mr. Rajiv Gandhi who was misled by J&K Chief Minister Mr. Farooq Abdullah in 1988 when Prof.Bhim Singh had won Udhampur parliamentary election in 1988 but declared defeated because the then Chief Minister of J&K had succeeded in persuading Mr. Rajiv Gandhi to not to allow Prof.Bhim Singh to enter Lok Sabha.
In spite of that, NPP Supremo says that Mr. Rajiv Gandhi’s involvement in the so-called Bofors case could not be established even by the critics of Rajiv Gandhi.
This is unfortunate and sad that the sitting Governor of J&K, Mr. Satya Paul Malik was used by the vested interests from New Delhi to refer Rajiv Gandhi in the same abusive language which was used a day earlier by the Prime Minister of India. The Governor of J&K while holding this office should not have used this highly unacceptable and unfortunate abusive language against Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. He hoped that the J&K Governor being a young political person with socialist commitment may withdraw these remarks attributed to him in the press today. This shall be a daring message and clarify the stand taken by J&K Governor vis-à-vis Mr. Rajiv Gandhi.
