GDC Vijaypur organizes inter college digital poster making, slogan writing competition
Samba, June 26: In order to mark International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, GDC Vijaypur under the patronage of Commissioner Secretary Higher Education, Talat Parvez Rohella, organized inter college digital Poster making and Slogan writing competitions.
Students from various colleges of Jammu division made digital posters and slogans depicting the ill effects and health hazards associated with drug abuse.
In the digital poster making competition, Gurpreet Kour from MC Khalsa College of Education, Vijay Kumar from GCET Jammu, and Tamanna Sharma from GCW Gandhi Nagar stood first, second and third respectively.
The adjudicators of the competition were Dr. Sandeep Bhagat, Medical officer, GAMC, Akhnoor, Prof. Neha Gupta, GCW Parade, and Professor Reetika Singh, GDC Kathua.
In the slogan writing competition, Taniya Rajput from GDCJourian, Leepika Sharma from MAM PG College, and Anjali Sharma from GDC Marheen bagged first, second and third positions respectively. The competition was adjudged by Dr. Sandeep Dubey, Department of the Dogri University of Jammu, Dr. Akhil Khajuria, GDC Nowshera, and Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch from GDC Vijaypur. E-certificates were given to the winners of the competitions.
Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the institute, while congratulating all the participants and organizers of the event exhorted all to take a pledge to “just say no to drugs” and lead a safe and healthy life.
