Poonch, May 07: Open Inter school Taekwondo championship organized by Pritam spiritual Trust in collaboration with Poonch District Taekwondo Association at M.H.S.D.A.V Public School Kuniyian Conclude today.
Total of 250 students from all over Poonch district Participated in this championship.
The chief guest of the closing ceremony was Manish Gupta Brigade Commander 93 Infantry Brigade,Guest of Honour Smt Sandhya Gupta (Founder Women Club Meri Pehchann) Jagat Narayan Col 39RR, Special Guest, Makhan Lal Bhaglal President Poonch Distt Taekwondo Association, Sudershan Kumar Sharma Principal Boys Higher Secondary School Poonch, Jagbir Singh President Pritam Spiritual Trust , PremParkash Luthra vice President PDTA, Sarla Bakshi ZPEO Sathra, Rydhmpret Singh Vice president (PST),Priyanka Singh Secretary PDTA,Amit Sharma Org secretary PDTA.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Manish Gupta congratulated Poonch Distt Taekwondo Association and Pritam Spiritual Trust for organising this Mega event in a remote area of Poonch He also congratulates Rajinder Singh for Imparting Coaching to more than 120 students apart from doing his School duty.
Guest of Honour Sandhya Gupta also congratulate all the medal winners and inspire losers to win next time, Earlier Rajinder Singh Taekwondo chairman of Distt Poonch highlight the achievement of Taekwondo in Poonch.
He said that if govt will provide the facility to Taekwondo players of Jammu and Kashmir; definitely in coming years Our players from Poonch and others distt. of JK represent India at the Olympic and Asain level and won medals for the country.
Later Chief guest and Guest of honour distributed medals, and trophies to winners. The whole function was presided over by Vijay Kumar PEMThe technical Panel for the championship is Mr Anuj Sharma organising Secretary JKTA ,Rajinder Singh National Referee Taekwondo,Jatinder Pal Distt Referee ,Dk Raina Distt Referee,Ashiq Hussain Jessica Singh and Prakriti Sharma adjudged as best players in women category while Akarshit Sudan and a Faisal Nissar adjudged as best players in Male category. M.H.S.D.A.V Public school won the overall trophy while Christ School Poonch remain runner up.
