Assistant Labour Commissioner visits and his team visits Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital on the occasion of International Labour Day
Jammu, May 04: Today, the Assistant Labour Commissioner and his team paid the visit to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital on the occasion of International Labour Day. The visiting delegate comprised Assistant Labour Commissioner, Reasi Mr.Pradyot Gupta, Labour Officer Mr.Surender Kumar and Child Welfare Committee Member Ms.Zypsy Badiyal.
Their visit was marked by fruitful discussions taking place with the employees of the hospital. Mr. Pradyot Gupta, The Assistant Labour Commissioner apprised all employees on their rights as a worker. Mr. Gupta reiterated and emphasised the aim of Labour Department for providing equal rights to the employees and appreciated the contribution of the hospital for keeping it as a full compliance hospital in all the labour related issues. He briefed about the Minimum Wages Act, Employees Compensation Act and various labour laws applicable to an organization. He firmly assured all employees that he is always available and can be approached if any of the employees face any harassment in the purview of the labour laws.
The visiting delegates were quite appreciative of the excellent infrastructure of the hospital and expressed that with the operationalization of SMVDNSH, people of the adjoining region have a good employment opportunity and along with that the opportunity to enhance their professional skills while working at Narayana Hospital.
Ms. Zypsy Badiyal, the member of the Child Welfare Committee interacted with all employees and shared her knowledge on child development and their contribution in the growth of a nation. She insisted on developing an emotional attachment in the society.
The Hospital director Mr. Dattatreya K S and HR Head, Mr. Sandeep Mamgai expressed their greetings to all the employees of the Hospital and contractual employees on the occasion of the International Labour Day.
